We got new lights for our back porch. They look WAY better than the quadruple layered Christmas lights we had before. They are also much brighter which will come in handy for beer pong. ;)

Christmas tree burning! Yes, we’ve been drying out our Christmas tree for the past two months. Yes, we thought lighting in on fire in our front yard would be a good idea. Yes, we had a crowd of 8 of us gathered around to witness the event. Was it worth it? YES! 15 foot flames, intense heat and pure entertainment…well, at least for two minutes. Definitely a new tradition.

We’re enjoying watching the 2010 Winter Olympics. Shaun White is pretty amazing to watch, and the “Double McTwist 1260” was well worth the gold medal.

We FINALLY finished painting the master bathroom. We spent this weekend painting the white trim and installing new sinks and faucets. All that’s left to do is change out the cabinet handles and hinges (which we’ve already purchased!).

Thursday = Trivia night at Smokey Bones! The usuals Adam, Sara and Corey were there with our two new additions Amber and Chris. Smokey Bones had $1 jello shots that everyone (except me ;) ) tried. Maybe it was good luck? I'm happy to say we finally placed! We tied for first and sent Corey for the stare off tie breaker. That didn't go to well, but we still got second and a $15 gift card. That will cover six of the big beers next time!

Sooo this is my first time blogging on the family blog. Today the captain of a ship died (RIP), some congressman died (RIP), and sooo I figured I'd finish off the trilogy with someone else (because celebs typically die in threes). We refer to Corey as batman from time to time, hence I drew this picture on my first moment's whim.

Yum, I'm prepping a delicious salad for dinner tonight. The salad went with homemade Zuppa Toscana for our Olive Garden dinner at home.

Bryan and I enjoy the pretty afternoon weather by taking the 'puppies' for a walk around the neighborhood. They look forward to their morning walk everyday at 5:15am and of course love these bonus afternoon walks.

We joined a CSA recently for fresh, organic veggies harvested weekly. We should begin receiving them in March. Bryan and I went out there on Saturday to check out the setup. It's pretty cool. Check out their site for more info. Shaolin Gardens.
